Music and Soap Dont Mix

Jermaine Dupri hooked up with Proctor and Gamble to create a new music label, Tag Records. I know the music industry is suffering, but is it that bad? Why do music labels need corporate sponsors for their artists? I thought that was what the label was for!
This is just wrong.
What do you think?

Positive Mainstream Hip-Hop? Really?

So, I just got the new Rock & Rap Confidential, number 223, in my e-mail, and one of the first articles is about the overlooked positive content in mainstream hip hop. Now, I must admit, incredulity is my immediate reaction to somebody alleging that 50 Cent has made a socially aware statement anytime in human history. But that's just my opinion. Lil Wayne did indeed have that Georgia Bush song, and that was tight, but I don't know... Am I wrong?

Problems with Metalabel Playlist/Player on my metalabel page

Dear all,
Somehow my metalabel playlist/player doesnt start up: it keeps on saying: 'loading' and the player keeps on flickering/flashing all the time. I do have one song in my playlist however.
Has anybody any suggestions on how to solve this problem?

Are coversongs alowed on Metalabel?

Dear Amiri and others,
Is it allowed to put coversongs (originaly written by another artist, put played in a different way) on my profile?
We as a band do have a contract with the Dutch association that represents the original artists (BuMa/Stemra): we pay an anual fee for playing coversongs that goes to the original (international) songwriters. In the contract it is stated that we can share our songs with others without limits as long as we share them for free.

Dear Amiri,
Do you know of a way to embed more than one video from youtube into my profile?
We would like to share on this profile some very different video's: a movie trailer that we did the soundtrack for, and some short fragments op performances.
How can I put them in a nice order (e.g. below eachother or next to eachother?
Can anybody please help me out on this issue?

Um, at the risk of sounding like a total newbie I am trying to upload some tunez but it tells me to update my profile. Thew FAQ tells me to click a button to allow Metalabel to sell my songs---I don't see it.
Help?!?!

Hi Amiri and others, I just registered yesterday, and am feeling very optimistic about Metalabel, but unfortunately, got snagged on the 'artist' registration page w/ my name. My legal name is Shan-Lyn, cover art has Shan-Lyn, et cetera, but .... no hyphens are allowed. I can't register ... is there a way around this? I'm presently finishing off two CD albums, and would like to be part of Metalabel. I've already started propagating it.
Please let me know what can be done about my 'name'. ;) Thank yo
